Accommodation
Accommodation is in a range of special locally owned hotels that we choose depending on availability. All are comfortable, pretty, clean, en suite, beachfront in the village of Puerto Villamil.
Transport
Transport will be by locally rented 4x4s and taxis and on foot. Some small boats will be used for local off-shore excursions.
It is also possible to catch one of the regular ferry boats to other islands from here.

What To Bring
Make sure you pack excellent sun protection (cream, hat, sunglasses, etc) as the rays are incredibly powerful in this region.
Waterproof items can also be helpful when hiking in the sea mist.
Swimming costume is essential and snorkelling equipment can be helpful if you want to be sure of getting your own size/quality.
A camera with plenty of film/memory space is essential.
Good, solid walking shoes/boots are needed for the volcano hikes.

Below are approximate costs for reaching Puerto Villamil:
• Airfare Quito-Galapagos-Quito (US$410 per person). Subject to change
• Airfare Baltra-Isabela-Baltra (US$210 per person-subject to change) 30 min flight
• Speed boat Puerto Ayora-Isabela by boat $ 35 from November to May takes 2 to 3 hours).
Prices are subject to change. Transfer service from Baltra to Puerto Ayora, if travellers want to take the speed boat.
