Azure Seas, Delightful Villages
8 days from EUR 1000 (£793) per person
On this centre-based walking trip you’ll enjoy the brilliant azure-blue sea, the smell and sight of the umbrella pines, delightful old villages and swim in secluded coves of an unspoilt coastline. You’ll enjoy delightful, scenic walks visit the impressive Monastery of the Chartreuse de la Verne and finally see St Tropez from both the sea and land.
This moderate walking holiday is designed specifically for the occasional weekend walker. From the island of Porquerolles our walks continue along the coast to St Tropez, selecting only the best sections to explore. We have one incursion inland to the famous Forest of the Maures to find out more about this massive forest region so close to the sea. Spring walkers enjoy the early season freshness and of course the brilliant wild flowers. By mid-May the sea is warming up for more intrepid bathers. The autumn period is softer and quieter and is excellent for those who enjoy a swim in the by now delightfully warm sea.
Our accommodation is in a hotel in Aguebelle, 10 minutes beyond Le Lavandou. The hotel faces the sea and the beach is 30m from your rooms. It has its own private sun terrace with recliners, parasols, shower and bar! The rooms all have terraces and private bathrooms. Breakfasts are taken in the hotel and lunches are excellent salad based with wine. Dinners are provided in local restaurants with a choice of menus available. At least one dinner is taken in Le Lavandou, our nearest town, with some great little restaurants.
