Western Zimbabwe is the region through which most travellers will spend time whilst on safari in Zimbabwe. Many of the 'big names' are located here, including Lake Kariba, Matusadona National Park, Chizarira National Park, Hwange National Park.

For the majority though, it is Victoria FallsZambezi National Park and the Zambezi River which are the major, almost unavoidable attractions. Many safari itineraries pass between the borders of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and Botswana - with Victoria Falls acting as a hub for travellers - a fabled meeting place - with a whole host of exciting activities on offer.
