With the twelve tourism regions of Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Clare Valley and Yorke Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula, Flinders Ranges, Kangaroo Island, Limestone Coast, Murray River and Outback to explore and discover, South Australia has plenty of places of interest to easily justify a visit of a couple of weeks or more.
Head for Kangaroo Island for abundant wildlife or perhaps the Outback for adventure, extreme conditions and the reward of wide-open spaces and wilderness. One of Australia's most famous wine regions, the Barossa Valley is only an hours drive from Adelaide, whilst Adelaide itself -the capital of South Australia - has plenty of activities and attractions on offer.
