Sandoy is a small mild and green island in the Faroe Islands. The largest population centre on the island is the village of Sandur, known for its lush and green nature, situated near a broad sandy beach and the only sand dunes in the Faroes. The island took its name from this village.

Thanks to its relatively flat terrain, Sandoy is a great destination for cyclists and walkers. The cliffs along the western shore offer a unique hiking experience in a splendid landscape.
