The West Coast of Réunion is the sunniest coast of the island and the most popular with holiday-makers. It is endowed with the main beaches of Boucan Canot, Saint-Gilles, Hermitage and Saint-Leu, and the majority of the island accommodation. Many water-based activities are available in this region, as are airborne pursuits. A real highlight is a scenic flight over the Cirques by helicopter.
