The region of Podlaskie is located in North-east Poland. It is home to 36 cities and towns as well as numerous national parks and a UNESCO world heritage site.

Here you will find the largest city in North-eastern Poland, Białystok, with its cathedrals and historical monuments.

However, it is the national parks that attract most visitors to Podlaskie. These include Białowieża, Biebrza, Narew and Wigry National Parks with Białowieża being a UNESCO world heritage site. This is because it is the remainder of the Europe wide primeval forest from the last ice age. Also in these parks you can spot and abundance of birdlife as well as other species such as elk, otter and beavers.
