New York is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States and is the nation's third most populous. The state is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario to the northwest.

Popular attractions here include the spectacular Niagara Falls, Saratoga Springs with its unique arts scene, Buffalo with its wealth of museums and sporting opportunities and of course the infamous New York City; home to such well known attractions as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge.
