Barely mentioned in guidebooks to the country Italy's northeast is the perfect destination for those looking for off-the-beaten-track travel experiences. In winter the mountains are snow-capped and in summer they are a walker's delight with 3 countries - Italy, Slovenia and Austria all meeting here.
