Central Vietnam encompasses many of the nation’s unmissable attractions. In the cultural capital of Hue on the banks of the Perfume River you can discover a walled imperial city and the elaborate tombs of the Ngyuen Emperors. Next head over the Hai Van Pass pausing perhaps to admire and relax on Lang Co’s perfect beach, en route to Hoi An.

If one place becomes a travellers favourite in Vietnam it’s Hoi An. Its vehicle-less streets are lined with wonderful, historic buildings and it has a photogenic riverfront, amazing food, great art galleries and famous tailors who can create wonders in no time. It all conspires to create THE place to visit in the region.

Finally head south to the beach at Quy Nhon where you can relax on good beaches and to discover the region’s Cham culture before you make for HCM City and the Mekong Delta.
