Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, is situated in the central highlands of the country and is the gateway to the rest of the country. The climate is typical of a semi-desert country, with hot days and cool nights.

Heading west is the Namib-Naukluft Park, home to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, a must to visit with it’s changing landscapes of expansive gravel plains to vast sand dune seas, rugged canyons and distant mountains.

The coastal resort towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay offer the opportunity for numerous sporting and recreational activities including quad-biking, camel riding and bird-spotting. Further up the coast is the famous seal colony at Cape Cross.
