The smallest of the inhabited islands of Cape Verde, Brava is also one of the most beautiful, known for its rich vegetation and diverse flower species. With a rugged coastline and mountainous landscape with deep and abrupt valleys, the island rises to a high point of 976m at Pico Fontainhas.

Walkers will delight in following trails to hidden villages and vantage points with spectacular views over the island. Often shrouded in mist, nature lovers will be keen to discover an assortment of flora and fauna.

The village of Vila Nova Sintra is the capital – one of the most delightful and beautiful places in the Archipelago.
