The ancient city of Peking traces its history back 2300 years and it was Kublai Khan, the great Mongol warrior, who really put the city on the map. Since those times it has become one of the world’s greatest travel destinations with the Great Wall of China on its doorstep and the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square at its heart.

There are countless things to see in the city, from parks such as Beihai and Tiantan, the amazing Temple of Heaven, to the Lama Temple, the Summer Palace and Ming Tombs.

The Mountain Resort and the Eight Outer Temples of Chende is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Harbin comes really alive in winter when the freezing temperatures allow the stunning Ice Lantern Festival to take place.

Beijing is just the start of a great Chinese adventure!
