Wadi Medani is the capital of the Gezira State of Sudan and at the centre of the region's cotton farms. The town is well located on the banks of the River Nile and makes a good stopping point on a tour through the country to restock, go on-line or just relax in one of its many riverside restaurant.
Take a boat across the river to one of the beaches on the other bank.
