At the northernmost point of Larnaka district, 20 kilometres from the town of Larnaka, lies Tochni, a small picturesque village built out of stone, on the slopes of two hills with a small river cutting across them.
The name of the village probably derives from the word Techni (Art) since the village was famous for its great master masons who worked the stone of the area in quite a unique way.
A walk down the narrow streets of the village reveals stone-built houses, courtyards and gardens. In the centre of the village the Church of Ayios Constantine and Ayia Eleni are of interest.
