Shikotsu-Toya National Park, in the central part of the island of Hokkaido was named after the volcanic caldera lakes of Lake Shikotsu and Lake Toya.
The park covers 993.02 square km of spectacular scenery including volcanic mountains, caldera lakes and hot spring towns of which Noboribetsu is one of the most popular.
The park offers a range of outdoor activities including trekking, hot springs, boating and cycling.
