Saitas is a settlement situated 33 kilometres northwest of Limassol, built at an altitude of 600 metres on a beautiful mountain spot near the banks of the Amiantos tributary. Its name probably derives from a type of snakes common to Cyprus called Saittaris. It is also said that it relates to the worship of the Olympian goddess Athena of the antiquity who was given the epithet Saitis.
Thanks to its beautiful scenery, dense forests, and proximity to the magnificent Toodos Mountains, Saitas is probably the best destination for nature lovers.
