The cosmopolitan, chic and fast paced city of Paris is perhaps one of the most visited cities in the world due to its unique mix of museums, galleries, historic attractions, beautiful parks and gardens, fantastic shopping and vibrant cafes and restaurants.

With so much to see and do it is difficult to choose from a boat trip down the Seine, a trip up the Eiffel Tower for a panoramic view of the city, a visit to the Louvre museum to see the famous painting of the Mona Lisa, the historic church of Notre Dame or the wonderful cobbled streets of the Montmartre area with its white church of Sacre Coeur.

It is easy to spend some time watching the world go by in one of the many pavement cafes in the Latin Quarter, take a stroll down the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe or perhaps relax in the Jardin de Tuileries close to the Place de la Concorde.

A fabulous city to visit for a weekend break or perhaps longer, take an opportunity to see the best of what the city has to offer as well as sampling the superb cuisine in the many restaurants and cafes.

Paris is a great place to visit if you are looking for a short break destination. For a large city it is easy to get around so all the main sights can easily be seen in two or three days. I personally recommended a trip up to the top of the Eiffel tower, a boat trip along the Seine and a visit to the Louvre museum. The Jardin de Tuileries is a nice place to take a break before walking up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. Before my husband and I had to depart we spent some time in the Montmartre area, famous for its artists and imposing white church, Sacre Coeur, from where you get another fantastic view of the city. A pleasant time was spent sat at a street café watching the world go by.
