Oukaimeden is located in the High Atlas mountains and offers the best skiing in Morocco. A popular winter destination, Oukaimeden is nestled in the snowy mountains near Marrakech.
During more temperate seasons, Oukaimeden serves as a convenient base from which hikers and climbers can explore the terrain of eastern Morocco and the prehistoric stone carvings present throughout the area. The ski resort offers visitors hotels, chalets, ski rental facilities and restaurants from which to savour typical Moroccan meals.
Located in the Atlas mountains near Jebel Toubkal, and about 70 kilometres from the city of Marrakech, Oukaimeden is North Africa's largest ski resort and has the continent's highest lift. Oukaimeden boasts almost 12.5 miles of runs and many off-piste options. The surrounding scenery is awe-inspiring.
Oukaimeden offers a selection of 20 trails for various levels of ability, but the ski resort’s most outstanding attraction is the access it provides to countless untracked trails that wind through the High Atlas mountain range. The slopes are served by seven chairlifts including the continent’s highest at an altitude of 10,734 feet.
Oukaimeden was initially developed by the French and more recently surveyed by international resort planners with the aim of improving the infrastructure.

Visitors to Oukaimeden can enjoy skiing, sledging and snowboarding. They can also enjoy the mountain nature around, or set out and trek or mountain bike in the mountains. Also on offer is a walking tour of nearby Rock Art.

Getting Around
With a journey time from Marrakech of little over 1 hour and 20 minutes by road, Oukaimeden can be reached by grand taxis from Marrakech, by private vehicle or by helicopter charter.
