The city of Narita is well known for being the site of Tokyo’s International Airport, known as Narita airport. However the town does have its own attractions including Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, a popular Buddhist temple with over 1000 years of history.

Various temple buildings can be viewed within the grounds of Naritasan temple, including the Great Pagoda of Peace, there is also a pleasant park.

Leading up to the temple is a lively street called Omotesando. Stretching for about 1km the street is lined with restaurants, and shops selling traditional crafts, food and souvenirs.
