Situated less than 500 metres from the boundaries of the Garajonay National Park, at an altitude of 1000 metres, the tiny hamlet of Las Hayas makes an ideal holiday base for keen walkers and those seeking complete relaxation in unspoilt, rural surroundings.
Las Hayas is a village situated in the west of La Gomera Island. Bordering the national park and surrounded by palm groves, the idyllic mountain village lies in a hilly landscape. Thick trade wind clouds often pass over Las Hayas, which lies at over 1000 metresabove sea level, allowing for year-round farming. However, the settlement of Las Hayas is better known for its cuisine.
