Koilani is located about 36 kilometres northwest of Limassol, at 820 metres above sea level. The varied landscape surrounding the village is marked by the contrast of mountains that alternate with steep valleys. It is said that the name of the village dates back to the Lusignan period (Le Quiflane).
ItKoilani's charm lies in the narrow village alleys and rural homes with their large vats and traditional wine press houses. Travellers can also visit the village ancient Churches and chapels besides the Museum of Viticulture.
Visitors en route to the Troodos Mountains often stop at Koilani, which has a reputation for serving good food and wine in its little taverns.
