Anogyra is a small picturesque village halfway between Limassol and Pafos, at about 15 minutes drive to the beach. Close to the village is the spring Apikreni that slopes down to the Troodos mountains.
The village has a pleasant tavern where you can enjoy traditional Cypriot cooking, besides a family winery where you can taste local wine. Anogyra is also dotted with two swimming pools where you can enjoy relaxing and sunbathing. Just outside the village are the majestic ruins of a Byzantine Monastery built in the 14th century and abandoned in the 19th century. It was hand painted with icons typical of Greek churches. Restaurations started 5 years ago by the Department of Antiquities.
