Flight Information for Azores

International Flights to Azores

Flight connections from the UK to the Azores are excellent. In summer the traveller can depart London Heathrow at around 08:30hrs and be on São Miguel by 14:30hrs. From Gatwick you can take the 06:30hrs flight and be on Faial by midday whilst there is a twice weekly direct flight on a Tuesday and a Saturday from Gatwick to the main island of São Miguel. Direct flights takes approximately 3.5 hours and is ideal for those looking to stay for 7, 10 & 14 nights, note however that such flights are always busy and fill up well in advance.

There are daily scheduled flights via Lisbon to the Azores from Heathrow and Gatwick to the islands of São Miguel, Faial and Terceira. Flying time is around 2.5 hours for each leg.

Direct flights from London Gatwick to Sao Miguel on Saturdays (1 flight per day between the months of May and September) and Tuesdays (1 flight each day between the months of April and October).
