One of the most visited countries in Western Africa, Senegal is relatively little-known in the English-speaking world.

A popular winter sun and beach destination for French holidaymakers, the country surrounds tiny Gambia and offers a diversity of experiences for those willing to delve deep into the heart of this peaceful nation.

With no fewer than five UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites to its name, Senegal offers world-class places of interest, both natural and cultural. From Djoudj National Park, the third largest bird sanctuary in the world, to the islands of Goree and Saint-Louis, rich in colonial history, Senegal has something for everyone.

Senegal beach holidays, adventure holidayscultural toursriver cruising, birdwatching and wildlife safaris are just some of the many experiences that can be enjoyed on a visit to this diverse and friendly country. Senegal also boasts a selection of very comfortable hotels, lodges and a wide range of activities.

A mosaic of various ethnic groups, such as Wolof, Pulaar, Serer or Jola provide a warm welcome and a vibrant musical beat.
