Contrary to popular belief, Scotland isn’t all about kilts and bagpipes. With ancient castles to visit, dramatic landscapes to get lost in and exciting vibrant cities to explore there is diverse appeal to the country and something for every traveller.
Holiday in the Scottish highlands for rugged landscapes ideal for you to go hiking or cycling in. Hike up Ben Nevis, head for the ski slopes of Aviemore or take a trip to Loch Ness, the supposed home of the mythological creature, the Loch Ness monster. Scotland is jam-packed with activity and adventure holiday options.
Head further south to experience the buzzing cities of Edinburgh, Scotland's historic capital, and Glasgow. Glasgow being the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in the UK is abundant in cathedrals and museums. Also, the nightlife in both these cities is not to be missed with their live music scene slowly garnering world acclaim.
If it’s dramatic scenery, top notch cities and a few remote but incredibly beautiful islands thrown in for good measure that you’re after, then Scotland is the place to be.
