Despite being the last landmass on earth to be discovered and with a somewhat lonely location to the southwest of Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand regularly ranks as one of the world’s ‘Top 10’ countries to visit. From North to South Island, travel in New Zealand is always a delight with a wide choice of accommodation, activities, attractions, tours and holidays on offer.

Being a predominately mountainous country with a Pacific coastline stretching for over 15,000 km, New Zealand is one of the most naturally spectacular countries on earth. With breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, lush forests and a pleasant climate, New Zealand offers a multitude of outdoor pursuits.

And it is not just the scenery that will wow you – with a thousand years of human settlement, modern-day New Zealand has a diverse, sophisticated and multicultural society represented by Kiwi people that will impress you with their honesty, friendliness and openness. The culture of the country is both unique and dynamic, with European, Maori, Pacific and Asian influences.

Kia Ora. Your New Zealand adventure starts here!

Despite my time in New Zealand being limited it was thoroughly enjoyable. With good scenery and increbily friendly people I'd definately go back to explore more of the country and would recommend it to anyone.

I was lucky enough to visit New Zealand several years ago. I travelled up to Ninety Mile Beach, the beautiful Bay of Islands, through the Coromandel Peninsula and on to Rotorua and Lake Taupo.
My memories are of a wonderfully friendly place with plenty of space and stunning scenery.
My only regret was that I didn't allow myself enough time to travel to the South Island. Still that means that I will just have to visit again sometime.

Why Travel to New Zealand?

  • One of the world's activity hotspots - every day is an opportunity to do things you’ve never done before in places that are unforgettably beautiful.
  • With around 15,000 kilometres of coastline find amazing places for swimming, surfing, sailing and fishing.
  • Discover Fiordland and see lakes that were gouged out by glaciers and North Island lakes that are huge volcanic craters. Find time to catch a trout, paddle a canoe or spread a picnic rug.
  • As a country settled first by Polynesians and then by people from all over the world, New Zealand has many stories to tell. Dip into history.
  • Around the edges of the North and South Islands, there are many islands for discovery. Catch a ferry across the water to places where life moves in sync with the tides.
  • Get close to nature - more than a third of New Zealand’s land area is contained within the boundaries of a park or reserve.
  • Explore on foot - through forests, up mountains, along riverbanks and around lakes. It’s the easiest way to get into the landscape.
  • There are 14 spectacular national parks and more than 25 marine reserves preserving New Zealand's natural heritage.
