India’s famous national parks are home to some of the most endangered animals on earth, including the royal Bengal tiger, and a few days spent exploring place such as Ranthambore, Periyar, Kanha and Bandhavgarh are simply unforgettable.
Those in love with the great outdoors will find much to occupy them with walks and treks in some of the world’s most stunning mountain landscapes, camel treks through the desert with nights spent around the campfire or on a jeep safari through the high valleys of Lahaul or Spiti in the Buddhist north.
A complex mix of communities from Rajasthanis to Tibetans India’s people glorify the country with food, clothing and habits differing wherever one travels. A festival or a celebration is never constrained to a family or a home - the whole community is involved – a great time to visit. With countless languages and dialects and following different religions the beauty of the Indian people lies in the spirit of tolerance that such a composition of cultures can bring.
