Djibouti, the world’s third lowest point, is located between Somalia and Ethiopia and has a diverse landscape despite its small size. From mountains and volcanic desert to beaches and coral reefs it has everything to offer the intrepid traveller.

With summer temperatures starting at 45°C it’s best to avoid these months and to travel in the cooler season of November to April when you can meet the Afar tribe, dive with magnificent whale sharks and visit local markets.

Djibouti is a country of fascinating people and landscapes and although not your typical tourist destination it will appeal to adventurous travellers.
