Bhutan is a land of mystery nestled in the eastern Himalayas and known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Bhutan offers spectacular Himalayan landscapes of immense beauty, with Buddhist monasteries or dzongs like the ‘tiger’s nest’ of Taktshang, stunning festivals where masked dances are performed, welcoming people who retain a truly traditional lifestyle and offer unconditional friendship and walking and trekking routes for all abilities and interests in areas such as the famous Bumthang Valley and Paro.
