The Republic of Austria is a landlocked alpine country in Europe which is bordered by Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Austria, along with Switzerland, is said to be the winter sports capital of Europe due to its spectacular mountains and high density of ski resorts. The resorts here are however less prone to tourism and therefore more charming and authentic.

However, Austria is also a good destination for tourists who are visiting during the summer months, at this time you can explore historic cities or hike in the beautiful Alps.
