The Republic of Armenia is a landlocked mountainous country in Eastern Europe and it is bordered by Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran. Armenia became the world’s first Christian country in 301 AD and therefore it is home to an ancient and rich culture like no other. Its attractions reflect this in the form of numerous churches and monasteries. However, in Armenia you will also find beautiful scenery consisting of stunning mountains, valleys, lakes and forests.

Places of interest in Armenia include the country’s capital city; Yerevan, where you’ll find numerous museums and monuments, Jermuk; a famous spa city, Dilijan; a popular forest resort where you’ll find several monasteries, and Tsaghkadzor; a pretty ski resort.

With its friendly locals and blend of culture and natural beauty, this little visited country is just waiting to be explored.
