A stunningly picturesque valley, at 1,310m surrounded on three sides by mountains and not too far from Tegucigalpa, the Valley of the Angels is, not surprisingly, popular with locals on weekends. 

On one of the routes into La Tigra park, the town of Valle de Los Angeles has a thriving artisan business, particularly famous for its export-quality, leather work. So as well as enjoying the mountain atmosphere, one can also shop for handicrafts.
