Chateau de Commarque is one part of a fortified village which has only recently been discovered by archaeologists. Sat on rock, the lower parts of the chateau incorporate various prehistoric shelters and tunnels which have been dug out of the rock. It is possible to climb the 30m high tower for fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
