Located in the Casa de la Cultura in the Colonial Centre of Quito and owned by the Central Bank of Ecuador, the Archaeology Museum (also known as the Museo del Banco Central) is one of the most impressive collections of pre-Colombian archaeology and gold artefacts in the Americas.

The vast collection is divided into different halls and contains over 800 pieces arranged in chronological corridors with detailed explanations.
