A fantastic way to immerse yourself in the language and culture of the Mayan people is to take part in a home-stay program in the village of Totonicapan. A community of over twenty K'iche families offer travellers the opportunity to live in their homes and take part in their daily life and culture. 

The families are eager to introduce you to all aspects of their life in Totonicapan, giving you the chance to learn to weave and practice some of the Mayan K'iche language.
