Located just 27 km from Atar en route to Nouakchott, the Oued Seguelila is one of the principle watercourses of northern Mauritania. Dry for much of the year, the river valley makes a perfect spot for an overnight camp (always ask permission) with shade from small oases of date palms. The river crosses the main road then drops down a series of rocks so you'll know when you've reached it.
