The MacMurdo Station is Antarctica’s largest research base. Operated by the US, it offer short guided tours to visitors, although you’ll only see a small part of the base. During the summer, around 1100 people live here. Here also is Scott’s Discovery Hut and Observation Hill – both worth a visit.
