The Ixchel Textile Museum, named after the Mayan goddess of fertility and weaving, has a vast collection of Mayan costumes and textiles dating to the end of the 19th century and originating from 120 Guatemalan communities. Other exhibits include weaving and dying techniques, the use and processing of materials and a collection of paintings illustrating regional and traditional costumes.
