Inside the sunken caldera of Genovesa Island, Darwin Bay is a small white beach of coral sands, fringed with mangroves.
Here the trails lead through the mangroves, past tidal pools to the top of the cliffs allowing some incredible views. Red-footed boobies and frigates are perhaps the most prevalent of the bird species here, but lava gulls and yellow-crowned night herons may also be seen, as well as fiddler crabs and sea lions.
