Daan Viljoen Game Reserve is located west of Windhoek and lies in the Khomas Hochland Mountains. Covering a relatively small area of approximately 39.5 square km it is popular with day visitors from the capital. The game reserve offers sanctuary to a large population of Namibia’s highland species and some 200 bird species. Several hiking trails wind through its hilly scenery.
