The San Blas neighbourhood is the most picturesque part of Cusco, and is an eclectic small district of steep narrow, cobbled streets and colonial houses. An area known for its artists, it is an excellent place to find crafts and carvings at reasonable prices.

The simple adobe San Blas church is worth a visit, as it contains one of the most famous wood carvings of the Americas, a mestizo pulpit carved from a single cedar tree, attributed to the Indigenous artist, Diego Quispe Tito.
