The Lanquin Bat Caves are deep limestone caverns which contain a river, lagoons, unique rock formations and thousands of bats. Considered to be sacred by the local indigenous people, the caves also contain a religious shrine. At nightfall, the thousands of bats who make their home here leave the cave in a mass exodus to feed in the nearby forest, it is an amazing spectacle.
