Without question the most photographed place in Galapagos, Bartolome Island offers an iconic image of the archipelago, with the distinctive Pinnacle Rock standing aloft over two beautiful crescent beaches, a splash of vivid green mangrove forest and the clear blue colours of the sea below.
Located very close to the east of Santiago Island, there are some fine snorkelling opportunities where visitors can share the waters with Galapagos penguins, marine turtles, sea lions, white-tipped sharks and manta rays.
On shore, a short climb up some well managed wooden steps takes visitors up to the island’s peak at 114 metres. Here the most impressive panorama of the archipelago surrounds you – welcome to the Galapagos Islands!
