The famous klongs of Bangkok are a network of canals that wend their way through the city linking neighbourhoods where traditional canal-side communities still live life as they have done for the last several decades. Many teak houses remain and the canals almost lap the front doors of some shops and houses, many of which are trailed with exotic plants.
