St Bénezet Bridge is the bridge of legend, witness to Avignon’s history, and known all over the world thanks to its famous song. Built from the 12th century it was damaged several times by the floods of the Rhône river, and had been rebuilt in the 17th century and is today recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
