El Misti Volcano is known as the Guardian of Arequipa, and rises to an altitude of 5825 metres. The foothills are located 20 km away from Arequipa and trips to the area can be arranged through your Travel Expert. Those energetic enough to do the two day trek to the top will be rewarded with fine views of the city of Arequipa, the ChiliRiver valley, and the Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.
