We provide day trips as well as special family-orientated half-day trips and for the adventurous can arrange overnight safaris staying in small hotels, local pensions or even village houses.

Kaunos Tours specialises in the creation of multi-activity trips of varying durations from ½ day up to a full week. A week may involve such varied activities as sea-kayaking, scuba diving, white water rafting, walking, canyoning, easy boat trips and much more. Any budget can be catered to and any standard of accommodation can be provided. Let us know what you want out of your holiday and leave the rest to us.

Kaunos Tours organises a variety of single or multi-day rambles and treks in the area catering to all levels of ability. Choose from either half-day family treks ending at Turtle Beach or one-day treks to the high peaks around Dalyan. All are professional guided and will show you a side of Turkey you would not have otherwise seen.

Spend a day or longer paddling along the coast enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. The coastline around Dalyan is famous for its amazing rock formations, pitted with small beaches and with the remnants of past cultures from the Lycian times. We can arrange short single day trips or longer tours where we sleep under the stars on quiet beaches.

The Dalaman River is an exciting Grade 3 and 4 white-water rafting river and the scene of a one-day adrenalin-fuelled adventure. You need to be reasonably confident on the water to get the most from this as we splash and buck our way down the rapids soaking up the stunning nature of the quiet spots. All trips are lead by experienced guides who know the river well.

During the warm summer months a walk and scramble up through the cascading waters of nearby streams and tributaries is the best way of exploring the unspoilt nature of the region. The rivers have crystal clear pools where butterflies land on your shoulder and countless birds. Kaunos Tours knows several hidden canyons, each with its own attractions with high waterfalls to jump in, and panoramic, breathtaking views.

Dalyan is backed by some of south-west Turkey’s most dramatic and impressive mountains which just beg to be explore by MTB. The hills are clad in wonderful forests of amber trees and pine, providing shade in the hottest part of the day and a wide variety of routes are available: choose from either easier, flatter cycling, or more demanding single track mountain biking. You can opt for MTB-only days or combine other activities in the same day.

Kaunos Tours has teamed up with local dive experts to provide a range of single and multi day dive excursions for the qualified diver, together with PADI’s Open Water Diver course to take novices to qualification. Even if you just want to try scuba diving or snorkel, you can – all are catered for. The water here is warm, visibility excellent and the sea-life abundant, providing divers with much of interest.

Baba Dag mountain lies around 1 ½ hours drive from Dalyan. Soaring to nearly 2,000m it provides the launch platform for a spectacular tandem paragliding descent, a leap of faith for the brave! Jumps and paragliding courses can be arranged.

A Dalyan holiday wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t take one of our famous boat trips. Cruise up the Dalyan River to Köyceğiz Lake or down river to Iztuzu Beach. Enjoy hot springs and relaxing mud baths. Or how about a trip to the Mediterranean and great day out snorkelling in the numerous small bays? Cast out your lines to catch a fish before BBQ’g it as you relax beneath the stars – many trip are available.

With our own gulet, a traditional, wooden-hulled Turkish sailing yacht, we set out from the nearby fishing village of Goçek to explore the 12 islands of the coast. Small groups enjoy this relaxing day, enjoying fresh fruit and a delicious meal as we explore the coast.
