Dawn till Dusk started its operation in 1988 with the founder director of the company, Sonam Gurung (Vice-President of the Nepal Cycling Association and former Nepal Mountain Bike champion). Having introduced mountain biking into Nepal and with almost 20 years of experience in this field he is a well-known biking guru. Sonam and his cousin, Chhimi Gurung (President of the Nepal Cycling Association), have explored a wide variety of trails all over the country and now offer bikers a chance to ride in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and India.
Today Chhimi and Sonam are mostly engaged in exploring new mountain biking routes and promoting mountain biking activities, though Chhimi does find time to lead tours to Nepal, Tibet, Ladakh, Sikkim and Bhutan (he speaks English, Nepali, Hindi and Tibetan). This research allows Dawn Till Dusk to offer unique opportunities to explore the culture and geographical diversity of Nepal and neighbouring countries.

Responsible Travel
Our type of travel brings us into contact with both nature and the people of Nepal. We are aware of the impact we have and take all steps to ensure that only positivity comes from our visits. Staying in small hotels, lodges and teahouses means that money flows into, not out of, communities. We ride routes which have been used for centuries and thus do not damage pristine areas of Nepal. Our village visits are conducted with sensitivity and in accordance with local traditions; a measure is our success is that we are welcomed back time and again.
Mountain biking tours
Season: Year round
We offer 2 types of trips: tailor-made trips where an experienced guide leads you, and small group trips where individual bikers come together for the first time to ride with each other with a guide. There are countless different choices of route and all riding abilities are catered for and just a few are shown here on the site. Do contact us to discuss what your needs are, from easy rides close to Kathmandu or Pokhara, slightly longer trips (whether, easier or more challenging) right through to tough rides that will task even the most experienced off-toader. Durations vary from half day to 2-weeks.
