The 10 km long Kyambura Gorge is famous for its habituated chimpanzees, with chimp tracking a popular activity for visitors to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The view from the edge of the Gorge is one of the most spectacular in the park, best appreciated on a walk along the edge looking down onto the crowns of rainforest trees. There is always a good chance of hearing chimps calling, even if you are not lucky enough to spot them up close. Many other species of forest-dwelling animals live in the Gorge including hippo and red-tailed monkeys.
